Nancy Shackelford

Environmental Studies

Nancy is a PhD student with Dr. Brian Starzomski working on applied community ecology. Her focus is on ecosystem resilience—in its many definitions and forms—and how it can be manipulated or impacted by human activity. She is interested both in the broad theoretical questions surrounding ecosystem management and the on-the-ground applications of ecological science. She's good at stats, writing, and organizing people: a Texas Triple-threat.

Nancy is also a MITACS intern with Hakai Media in 2016/2017.
