Katie is currently a MSc student in Chris Darimont's Applied Conservation Science Lab at UVic. Her thesis is investigating mammalian diversity in relation to marine subsidies across islands on BC's central coast. When she is not working on her project she spends as much time as possible snowboarding, surfing, hiking and camping. She loves BC and all of its spectacular diversity!
