The Hakai Institute and the Smithsonian Institution’s MarineGEO program are seeking candidates for a postdoctoral fellow based at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. The position is part of an on-going research program studying the nearshore biodiversity of the Central Coast of British Columbia near our Calvert Island Field Station.

The postdoctoral fellow will lead a detailed biological inventory of this region (‘BioBlitz’), and develop research to advance our comparative understanding of nearshore biodiversity, with particular focus on coastal benthic habitats.

Please see the full position description for details. Application review begins March 27, 2017.
